Kigali: La Confédération africaine de football (Caf) a désigné des arbitres rwandais pour officier le match aller du dernier tour des éliminatoires de la CAN 2015 entre le Burkina Faso et le Lesotho.

Munyemana Hudu sera l’arbitre central. Il sera assisté par ses compatriotes Kabanda Félicien (assistant 1), Ndagijimana Theogene (Assistant2) et Munyanziza Gervais (arbitre protocolaire).

University of Rwanda awards over 11,000 in inaugural graduation

Kigali: The University of Rwanda inaugural cohort of 11,000 have graduated. This is the first graduation ceremony since last year’s merger of over 13 public institutions of higher learning.

The Chancellor of the University of Rwanda, Dr. Mike O’Neal said that the university embarked on a hands-on teaching approach, which will help students create jobs.

Rwanda and Singapore to reinforce cooperation in trade and investments

Kigali: Singapore’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, K Shanmugam, and his  Rwandan counterpart, Louise Mushikiwabo, signed an Avoidance of Double Taxation Agreemen(DTA).

The agreement was signed at the sidelines of the Sub-Saharan Africa High Level Ministerial Exchange Visit.

L’ONU juge prioritaire de neutraliser les FDLR

Kigali: Le Conseil de sécurité estime que la neutralisation rapide des rebelles des Forces démocratiques de libération du Rwanda (FDLR) qui sévissent dans l’Est de la RDC était une priorité pour stabiliser ce pays et la région des Grands Lacs.

Dans une déclaration à la presse, les membres du Conseil saluent les progrès réalisés contre les groupes armés en RDC, notamment la défaite militaire du M23 et l’affaiblissement important des ADF-NALU, mais regrettent qu’aucun progrès significatif n’ait été réalisé pour arriver à la neutralisation des FDLR.
